Ingredients For Aloo Tamatar Ki Sabzi Recipe

  • 3 Medium Sized Potatoes
  • 3 Medium Sized Tomatoes
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
  • A pinch of Asafoetida (Heeng)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder (Dhania Powder)
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt (Namak) or as per taste
  • 1 inch Ginger (Adrak)
  • 1-2 Green Chili cut into pieces (Hari Mirch)
  • 1 Tablespoon Cooking Oil
  • 1.5 Cups Water
Heat some oil in a small pan add Cumin Seeds (Jeera). Fry the Cumin Seeds for a few sec Add a pinch of Asafoetida (Hing).

Turn the flame to low and add 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi), 1/2 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder and 1/2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder (Dhania Powder), Also add a pinch of Garam Masala.

Also chopped pieces of Ginger (Adrak) and Green Chilies (Hari Mirch).

Add chopped potatoes followed by 1 1/2 cup or 1 Glass of water. Mix well up to 10 minutes. Allow some time to cool and enjoy with Parantha or Pooris.
